Languages of Reform

The enlightenment was a European phenomenon. But how did changing philosophical backgrounds manifest themselves in changing languages of reform? Which semantic fields were used to legitimize planned change? In which areas of societal change and in which countries did argumental patterns change? An international group of British, French, German, Italian and Dutch historians with a shared background in intellectual history is looking for answers to these questions.
